Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of one year acute care clinical experience and two to three years clinical and one year management experience in long-term care preferred. Coursework in nursing management preferred. Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles as well as facility policies and procedures; demonstrates ability to provide quality patient care; communicates and works effectively with people; possesses potential for leadership; possesses ability to assess patient's needs, i.e., clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual. Basic computer skills. Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to lift and move patients in a safe manner. Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate. Also necessary to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective patient care. Current NY RN license. EOE

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
Rotating Shifts may be required.
